Sean Rasmussen launched the Learn and Earn Competition, “For a Few Dollars More” on Monday June 14th. While that was four days ago, the great news is that there is still time for you to get involved.
Firstly, if you’re not sure what I’m talking about, you can read my earlier post “Aussie Internet Marketer’s $20 000 Competition”.
How Can I Catch Up?
The easiest way to catch up on the Learn and Earn Competition is to read these posts and watch the videos. They will give you a solid overview of the competition and help you get started.
- Learn and Earn. $20,000 in Cash and Prizes
- Internet Marketing Competition
- Facebook Fanpages and Internet Marketing
- For a Few Dollars More
It’s a Marathon Not a Sprint
The Learn and Earn Competition is a marathon, not a sprint. No-one is going to win the competition in the first week. You have to be dedicated and participate consistently over the next seven weeks.
There is still time for you to catch up. We’re only a few days into the first week and you have plenty of time to get involved and make the most of this opportunity.
The weekly tasks are designed to teach people who want to learn internet marketing with beginning to intermediate levels of experience. Therefore, the first week’s tasks are relatively easy.

Great competition, Jazz
I better make sure I’m there to make the competition interesting.

Hi Sean,
I’m glad you’ll be there, Sean. It wouldn’t be the same without you.

Great article Jazz, I think that even if someone found this article a few weeks into the competition they would still benefit from the free info and support Sean is offering. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often.

Hi Jazz,
Slow and steady always wins the race. I think you have a great reminder here that the competition is about learning and having fun. Winning a prize is always nice but that’s just a bonus, as I see it.
Thank-you

Hi David,
I think you’re right. I’m sure that Sean will have planned the competition so that anyone can benefit from the information no matter what week they start on.
I’m learning heaps and I’m really enjoying the competition. I can’t wait to see what Sean has got planned for us next.

Hi Jill,
Yes, I think so too. The real prize is being able to apply the information that Sean is teaching us and create successful online businesses for ourselves.
The prizes are great and they definitely are an incentive to be involved. But, a prize will only last so long. The knowledge we gain can change our lives.
June 19th, 2010 at 11:48 pm
I think the consensus is for the gaining of knowledge first and foremost and there’s no shortage of that with Sean leading the way , although a carrot does help to add some extra motivation .

Hi Tony,
Yes, the cash and prizes do add some extra motivation. The only problem is that eventually they will run out. Money only goes so far.
The best prize is learning to apply the strategies that Sean is teaching us so we can earn our own cash and prizes. Getting the know-how to build your own successful online business is priceless.

Hi Jazz,
It’s a great competition and an even better means of learning something that could potentially set you up for life if applied correctly. For me, I like the idea of earning while I’m learning however my “action” in this competition will be limited to posting the odd comment where I feel I can add something of value. I believe more in a creative mindset than a competitive one, so I would rather apply what I have learnt so far, being a member of YOTA and any new information I can get from Sean’s blog posts, in developing my own blogs.
It’s a great opportunity though, especially for those just starting out in Internet Marketing.

Hi Colin,
I think the focus should definitely be on the learning. Success relies on us being willing to apply the information that Sean is teaching us.
I’m going to give this competition everything I have because for me, I think it’s the only way to get the best out of it. I want to be able to be a successful internet marketer and so far I’m not unhappy with my results, but they could be better.
I feel that this competition gives me a unique insight into what Sean thinks it takes to succeed at internet marketing. Maybe, I’ll find the pieces of the puzzle that I’ve been missing.
For what it’s worth, I wish there weren’t any cash and prizes. That way we’d see who genuinely wants it for the opportunity that it is.

Hi Jazz,
I really like your approach.
You are absolutely right, there is still time for anyone to get onboard this learning train.
Sean breaks each video down into digestible amounts so we have time to implement and absorb everything.
Congratulations to you for a great site here and for sharing with others with clear and simple instructions.
The ultimate prize is the knowledge gained, the cash and prizes on offer are just a sweetener!

Hi Lina,
Thanks. I’m just trying to share the love with Sean’s crazy competition.
June 22nd, 2010 at 6:31 am
Hi Tara,
Thanks for dropping by. There is still lots of time for people to get involved. The emphasis is on learning so I think Sean will definitely give us lots of time to make sure we get each concept right before moving on to the next one.
The knowledge is the prize because if we get that, we can make the prize for ourselves many times over. Good luck with the competition.

I have a way to go as life is getting in the way at the moment, but I will catch up and continue with my learning

Hi Gee,
I know what you mean about life getting in the way. It’s not easy to juggle everything. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble catching up on your learning though.
Good luck in the competition.

From the number of comments that are here, it looks like your competition is already pretty popular. I like the fact that you have to be dedicated and participate throughout the entire event, because that’s what it takes to succeed in any avenue. People will learn a lot from you– prizes are a great motivation to help get people going, and in this case, learning, too!

Hi Rita,
Yes, there’s still a long way to go in this competition. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Sean is going to teach us over the next few weeks.
Whatever happens; I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun.
June 29th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
Hi Steve,
Thanks so much for dropping by. I like that you have to participate for the whole seven weeks to have a chance of winning.
I think that constant effort and persistence is the key to being successful. I’m really looking forward to seeing the impact of my learning on my results.

Hi, Jazz!
This is a really great blog! You’ve done a bang up job here. I love having the opportunity to learn internet marketing from Sean. I’m one of those who wouldn’t have ever been able to afford this kind of training. I really feel lucky that I found this. Keep up the good work! I see that you’re not far from being the winner of this competition too.

Exactly no one can build moolah in one day, those who claim just lie. MMO is actually a bit more difficult than MM in real world.

Hi Shekhar,
They’re a lot of scams online and you really have to be careful who you trust. Anyone that says you can make thousands of dollars in a few short hours while you sit on the beach doing no work is definitely lying.
You’re right; it’s not easy to make money online. But it’s very rewarding when you can do it and a whole lot of fun.
July 15th, 2010 at 8:58 pm
Hi thanks thanks, this is exciting to see this comp promoted; we’re giving it heaps every day and learning so much! it’s not with the idea in mind that there is some prize, although the competitive blood is coursing, but rather the end result should be for us that we can expand what we know and take what we’ve learned away and apply it to making some money! THAT is a goal worth chasing! and yes, you’ll never ever make $$ without working- just follow Bill Gates on Twitter for that evidence- always working!!
July 17th, 2010 at 1:11 am
Hi Clem and Erika,
Thanks for dropping by. You guys are doing a great job catching up in the competition. You’re living proof that by working hard and persisting, you can put yourself in the path of success. Keep up the great work. You can do it.
